Not enough control on cornering and steering response the Proxes are a better buy

Would not recommend these tires at all. At the 15K mark, these tires started to be extremely noisy.

This tire is outstanding and ideal for someone who appreciates "high" performance qualities in a tire. I have pricey PS2s on my e-46 M3 so I use that as a benchmark. I have these Toyo Extensa HP, 205/ 45/17 V rated, on a 330xi 6 speed which is a bit of an AWD tank but does have a Turner Motorsport spring/shock package and I think this tire greatly enhances all this car's good qualities for reasonable cost. I have track cars and have used Toyo "R" compound tires many times on the track over the years with success which has led me to have respect for Toyo as a tire manufacturer. These Extensa HP tires respond excellently when pushed hard and compliment the spring/shock package currently on the car. "Turn in" is crisp, instantaneous, and exact, without that mushy sidewall flex I am so tired of feeling on so many other brands so called performance options. Dry grip is superb and still continues to amaze me. Wet grip is the same. Recently I had the opportunity to test the tire's grip on a morning in mid thirties and light rain and again the tire's grip exceeded my expectation. When the tire does let go it does so progressively and predictably and is easy to "catch." This tire handles snow well. This winter I intended to put on my snow tires but I decided to wait until I experienced a level of significantly compromised traction. I never encountered that situation this winter and, with no regrets, never mounted my snow tires. I have put 20k chilly weather miles on these tires since September and tire wear is minimal. A quality product I will purchase without reservation again.

Tires are decent for their price. They are quiet and have great handling on my car, but it just might be my driving style. From a stationary position to movement in the rain, they didn't grip as well as I thought they would. For some reason the treadlife on them wore out a lot faster than I expected. I have winter tires and after two summer seasons, I am already considering buying new tires. I would personally not buy these tires again with their fast wear, but they are decent tires overall.

Great dry street tire. Corners great and rides smooth and quiet. No sudden stopping in the rain though.

We bought these last year and the wear and performance has been second to none. Great tire!!!
